A Surprise

There are several new plants in my garden and this is one of them. I suspect this came from my friend and co-worker, Cindy. The other year, she gave me several of her overgrown daylilies.

I am loving it - it is very different and I love that it is red.

Accent Plant

What was I thinking when I ordered this echinacea? I could remember the brochure said it would be a nice accent in the garden. Now that I look at it, it looks like it is sorely missing something - it's colorful petals which normally comes in different shades of pink, white, orange, and light green.

Loving this Weather

Am loving this cold weather. The grass is green, the trees have grown faster and it seems like our drive is so much greener and shadier because of that. And most of all the flowers are all in bloom and no matter how late the season is for planting, any plants I put in the ground seems to be thriving.

Not to mention my utility bill is so much lower.
